Fraserburgh got ‘Active’ during August 2016 with an action packed week of sports taster sessions encouraging people to get involved in sports and an active lifestyle.
Locals and visitors across all age groups came to Fraserburgh to take part in Active Fraserburgh Week during 8-12 August 2016. The event took place in 19 different venues across Fraserburgh, hosting over 90different activities ranging from Football, Outdoor Bowls, Surfing & Life Saving Lessons to Health Walks, Skateboarding and BMX bikes.
Over 400 people took part in the initiative aimed at encouraging people to lead a healthier lifestyle by trying a new sport for the first time and enjoying the social aspect of an active lifestyle.
