October 2015 Stakeholder Engagement Events

Three public engagement events were held on the 28th of October.

A Contractor engagement breakfast event was held at North East of Scotland College(NESCOL)’s Fraserburgh Campus from 8-9am – this event was aimed at local contractors and tradesmen. Representatives from Construction Industry Training Board, Skills Development Scotland and the NESCOL itself were also in attendance. The session started with an overview of the Fraserburgh 2021 scheme including the high and medium priority projects and the training elements of the project. This was given by Alan Marshall and Doug Wheeler, consultants for the project. A question and answer session was held with the contractors and other attendees.

A second Stakeholder engagement event was held in NESCOL from 2-4pm which was a follow on from the Stakeholder engagement event held in June. The purpose of this was to give local Councillors, business owners, community groups and colleges and schools the opportunity to learn more about the Fraserburgh 2021 project and give feedback on the proposals so far. This was attended by people from the various sections of the community listed and a question and answer session was held. Feedback was again both positive and informative and will help further shape the development of the scheme.

A drop-in session at the Council Chambers was also held on the 28th of October from 4-7pm, giving local residents an opportunity to look at the display of the proposed projects and speak to the development officers about the scheme.
