Fraserburgh’s Temperance Fountain is awaiting a facelift – and an exciting new future.
Visitors to the Town Centre will have noticed that the Fountain – until recently positioned next to the Saltoun Mausoleum – has been removed.
It’s now at the workshop waiting to undergo full restoration and to be repurposed for the twenty-first century – dispensing drinking water into reusable bottles.
The refurbished fountain will be re-sited closer to its original location at the top of Broad Street this summer.
We’re looking forward to seeing those blue griffins supervise the filling of many water bottles!
