The Application Process
PLEASE NOTE – THE SMALL GRANTS SCHEME IS NOW CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS
The small grant scheme was available to traditional buildings within the Fraserburgh Central Conservation Area as part of Fraserburgh 2021
Repair works were first discussed with the Project Officer and applicants were advised to obtain professional advice before obtaining tenders. Applications submitted on the appropriate form with supporting information (drawings, tenders, photographs etc) were considered by the Project Officers and referred to the Project Board for a decision if required. Grant applications were considered according to the following criteria:
- The Fraserburgh Conservation Area Appraisal and management recommendations.
- Advice from Historic Scotland;
- The anticipated impact on the character of the conservation area from an award;
- Willingness demonstrated by the applicant to part-fund and implement appropriate works benefiting the historic built environment.
