The contractors are on site and work has started on the renovation of the Town House and the former Police Station in Fraserburgh.   This work will combine and restore the existing Town House and the vacant former Police Station next door.  The new facility will house Council services, a civic space , meeting space for groups and an Enterprise Hub which will provide office space, IT services and business support to people looking to start up new enterprises.

However, before work could start, two prominent Fraserburgh gentlemen had to be removed from the building.  Two life sized portraits which hung in the Council Chamber had to be removed for safe storage whilst the renovation of the building is carried out.  One is of Sir Alexander Anderson, Baron Bailie of Fraserburgh and the other of John Park, the first Provost of Fraserburgh.
